“Wrapping up a nationwide global warming tour, singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow posted a quirky “solution” online about a new way to save the environment.
She wrote: “I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting.”
She told the joke to get people’s attention, and it worked. Talk show hosts had a field day with Crow’s comments.“Have you seen my [backside]?” Rosie O’Donnell joked on “The View.”:

The irony can be better felt in a two-line verse:

Too much toilet paper is bad for ecology and for your interior
Save the tissue is the issue as you can see from her posterior

The big question is who is poking fun at whom.Apparently Sheryll Crow is not the victim here because she has commented on the ecology stuff with her tongue in “cheek”(literally if you know what I mean) .She is trying to draw mirth out of this global warming stuff and while she is actively on the global warming tour she is ,in her own flippant fashion, debunking the whole thing by the use of what the literary critics say “bathos”. The sarcasm or irony if you please,is carried forward further by Rosie O’Donnell who is saying “have you seen my(backside) ?

Well, here is a “below the belt ” joke on Sheryll Crow”

“Sheryl Crow was at the dinner to raise awareness of global warming, and she has an interesting plan. Sheryl Crow is encouraging people to only use one square of toilet paper when they go to the bathroom. … So in other words, don’t ever shake Sheryl Crow’s hand” –Jimmy Kimmel
